This is a community for people who use writing or journaling for the purpose of healing from mental health conditions, trauma or abuse. I will provide regular writing prompts, inspirational quotes and questions to spark your personal writing journey, and invite you to do the same. You can also discuss techniques of journaling or writing, share your work, or offer support.
By default, entries in this community will be visible to members only. Please respect each other's confidentiality. Of course, it is okay to post a writing prompt on your own journal, but original writing or support threads should not be distributed outside of this community.
Treat each other with respect. Flaming, name-calling, bullying or otherwise hateful behavior will not be tolerated. This is a supportive community.
Critiquing each other's work is fine, as long as you play it nice (see above).
Please post triggering material behind an LJ-cut.
This is primarily a writing community. While it is fine to share images, please do keep the majority of your contributions about writing. Always place images behind a cut. Please provide an alt text for each image you post, in order to make this community as accessible as possible to users who are visually impaired.
Keep your posts on-topic. Posts should be related to writing or journaling, mental health or survivorship. Also, don't wander off-topic in comments.
While it is okay to answer writing prompts in comments, these prompts are also meant to encourage writing in your own journal. Feel free to post links to your journal entries in the comments section of a prompt (please say so if your posts are friends-only).
